Weekend

The weekend is finally upon us! Have you realized it's the last weekend before Christmas? Have you finished your Christmas shopping? We haven't, but thank God for Amazon Prime!

Did you know that word "weekend" is a compound word? As you may remember from a previous lesson, a compound word is made when two separate words are joined together to form one new word. The word "weekend" is formed by joining the word "week" and "end" together to mean, the end of the week.
