Lady Gaga and Her Poker Face

The other night I had a hard time falling asleep so I started watching the show Seinfeld. It was an episode where one of the characters, George couldn't keep a secret. He kept trying hard to maintain an expressionless face so that Jerry, his friend wouldn't know he was keeping something from him. Jerry could sense something was going on and says, "so that's your poker face?" George says, "no, that's my regular face!" It was obvious it was not his regular face as he had a poker face.  You can see this video on the bottom of this post.

A poker face is a face that has no emotion so that no one can tell what you are thinking or feeling. It is, as I mentioned above, "expressionless." If you're familiar with poker, you'll know that it's very important as a good poker player to maintain a blank expression so that you won't reveal too much to your opponents.

You may have also heard of poker face from Lady Gaga. One of her hit songs is called .......Poker Face! Part of the lyric is, "He can't read my poker face.....p p p poker face.....p p p poker face." I won't elaborate on the meaning of the song but she is basically hiding her true feelings and concealing her true emotions. She has a p..p..p..poker face! Also Lady Gaga was extremely hard to draw, but I hope you get the point!

My husband is extremely good at telling jokes or a funny story with a poker face. Me? Not so much! I start laughing even before I utter a word. Then everyone just starts laughing at me for laughing! Are you good at maintaining a poker face?
