As I've mentioned in some of my previous posts, we've been doing some home renovations and we're finally done for now! It was a busy few weeks of cleaning and organizing. Now that we finally have a clean home and a bed to sleep on, I've been feeling very peaceful and satisfied because I no longer have to worry about moving furniture around, keeping my clothes in suitcases, or being in a dusty home! What about you? What do you feel today?

I don't think I've ever met a person who doesn't love food, so wouldn't you agree that the kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the home? It's therefore pretty important to know some vocabularies related to the kitchen.
What's the most common appliance that you use in the kitchen? The stove, microwave, or oven? I probably use the stove the most, and then microwave, followed by the oven. What about you? My husband and I have been eating out a lot lately because we're doing some renovations to our home, so cooking has not been so convenient for us. We don't usually eat out during the weekdays but for now we save a lot of time and trouble. When we eat at restaurants, the waiters and waitresses are usually very nice and helpful, making sure we're doing OK all the time and ask if we need anything extra. But how do we say "no" politely to the questions they ask?
Take a look at some common questions and some easy ways to say "no." The answers could be used for all the different situations below. It's really not necessary to think of long and fancy ways to say "no" in order to sound polite, remembering these simple phrases and adding "thanks" or "thank you" is enough! Just keep it simple! It's Mother's Day today, a day to honor and celebrate mothers, aunts, or anyone who has been a mother to you. Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful and hardworking mother's around the world! Of course, I must also share a beautiful picture of my own mother and wish her a Happy Mother's Day from Seattle! To the most beautiful woman in the world!
